والأجهزة وجميع مستلزمات الحياة، وكذلك دورها في دعم الاقتصاد الوطني وتلبية متطلبات التنمية والمشروعات التي تقام في جميع مناطق المملكة. ما أكبر التحديات التي تواجهها الهيئة العامة للموانئ ؟ التحديات تطور الطاقات، التحدي الأكبر لنا في “موانئ” هو تحقيق طموحات القيادة الرشيدة لتصبح المملكة منصة لوجستية عالمية وموانئ لقارات العالم، هذا عنوان صغير ً تجاريا ً المملكة مركزا لحلم كبير يحتاج إلى جهد حثيث ليتحقق، ونحن ولله الحمد في الهيئة لدينا كفاءات وطنية مخلصة تستطيع أن تحقق ذلك، ومن بين ما نقوم به في لبلوغ هدفنا هو إحداث نقلة كبيرة في ً الهيئة حاليا أساليب الإدارة وفي مستوى الأداء التشغيلي ورفع معدلات الإنتاجية بما يتواكب مع التنوع الاقتصادي للمملكة مع الاستمرار في خطة التوطين للوظائف الفنية والبحرية المتخصصة، والاعتماد على المنتج المحلي في جميع الأعمال والتعاقدات، وتشجيع الشركات على زيادة الاستثمار وإدخال خدمات جديدة متطورة مثل تصنيع وبناء السفن وصيانتها على سبيل المثال. كلمة أخيرة لقراء مجلة مرساة؟ الله للجميع ً أكرر شكري لكم على هذا اللقاء، وسائلا دوام التوفيق والنجاح، وأود أن أؤكد في هذه المناسبة بأنه وفي ظل الرعاية الكريمة من خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز وولي عهده الأمين صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز – حفظهما الله- فإن السنوات القادمة ستشهد –بإذن الله- نقلة نوعية أخرى في إدارة وتشغيل الموانئ السعودية. ، أتوجه بالشكر لمعالي وزير النقل، رئيس ً أيضا مجلس إدارة الهيئة العامة للموانئ الدكتور نبيل بن محمد العامودي على دوره ورؤيته في تطوير منظومة الموانئ السعودية والارتقاء بالخدمات المقدمة من خلالها.

I would first thank you to choose me as this edition’s profile of Mersat magazine. It is also an opportunity to express my admiration for the magazine’s specific topics of maritime affairs, and to appreciate the role media plays in highlighting the achievements of NSCSA (Bahri), in logistics and transportation industry worldwide. As for my scientific and practical career, I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in 1992. I started my profession more than 25 years ago, working in a number of specialized corporations, such as the Advanced Electronics Company and Schlumberger International Inc. I have held several leading posts in the private sector, most recently the Chief Operating Officer of Saudi British Bank - SABB, HSBC Group and some other pioneering Saudi banks. Then, I moved to the government sector when I was honored to serve as Deputy Minister of Transport and President of the Saudi Ports Authority (MAWANI). is one of the pillars in achieving Saudi Vision 2030. There is no doubt that the ports play a major role in this process; how do you paraphrase this? The Saudi Ports Authority (MAWANI) plays an important role in the transportation system to achieve one of the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, to make the Kingdom a unique center for logistics, linking the three continents. In this aspect the Authority’s objective, in cooperation with the relevant agencies, is upgrading the Kingdom’s ranking in the logistics performance index Today, the strategic location of the Kingdom amid three continents

Our success in meeting the requirements of this important stage depends on the efforts we will all exert and the cooperation shown by all partners in this system; both the governmental and private sectors, to ease and facilitate procedures, raise operational efficiency, and be superior over all challenging ports in terms of speed in performance, quality and work efficiency.
